This article is for anyone interested in playing the original Metroid for the Nintendo Entertainment System online free. It was a game first released for the Nintendo Nes on August 6th, 1986 in Japan and exactly one year later in North America. It was a Nintendo hit title after the release beginning a great series.

The Nintendo game unlike all other Metroid games did not feature save slots but offered passwords. It was a cross of action and puzzle game genres. It also offered an alternative second quest with Samus in a bathing suit instead of full Gravity Suit.

Now if you are looking for it online it is relatively easy to find. People often tend to play Metroid for Nes online because the Nes Cartridges are difficult to find/get working. To play the game you must have the original cartridge to comply with copyrights.

The main problem why it is difficult to play Metroid on Nintendo is because the original Nintendo technology being vulnerable to dust and other clutter. This altered the 8-bit processing power making it difficult and time consuming to play Nintendo games.

One solution to fix the Metroid Nes cartridge and Nintendo Entertainment System dust problem is to use a Computer Air Vent Spray to clear the dust. With that recommendation you can usually get games working on the first try. That is one major reason why people are unable to play Metroid on their Nintendo.

Play Mega Man 2 Nintendo NES Online Free Right Now

This articles is for anyone interested in playing Mega Man 2 for the Original Nintendo Nes online. The Playstation Anthology version has no difficulty selection on the title screen and is missing the nostalgic 8-bit feel. It was the first sequel in the Mega Man series and the first Mega Man game to feature Rush his mechanical dog in it.

It had 8 solid bosses in the beginning not even mentioning the Dr. Wily stages. Quick Man’s stage is debated by Nintendo fans as one of the hardest stages in the Nintendo Nes Mega Man series. The only difference between Normal and Hard difficulties in Mega Man 2 is the damage Mega Man takes when hit. It is very challenging especially for the Dr. Wily stages.

The first generation of the Mega Buster was also feature by Heat Man’s Atomic Fire ability. Mega Man can charge his Atomic Fire which awfully resembles the Mega Buster except a blue shot instead of red. It is an overall solid Mega Man game which is often searched for online due to the rarity of the Nes game.

People have trouble either finding the Nes game or getting the game/console to work. The Nes consoles and games act like magnets to dust which causes problems. The dust can be cleaned with an Computer Air Spray to clean computer air vents. It makes the Nintendo a lot easier to get working with only a few tries. Since Mega Man 2 was released in July 1989 it is very unlikely to see except for online. This is one of the reasons why Nintendo started releasing their Nes titles on Nintendo Wii Shop.

The Top 10 Greatest NES Games Of All Time

Its a fair statement to say that the most important video game console to ever come out was the Nintendo NES. There has yet to be a more influential system to ever hit the video game market. One only needs to look at all the franchises that were created from the 8-bit generation. With that being said, here are my Top Ten Greatest NES

Games of all time:

10. Metroid: The game that brought incredible ambience and tone to the Nintendo generation. It was much more than your garden variety sci-fi shooter.

9: Contra: The classic co-op for the NES. Oh, yeah…..The code. It deserves to be on the list just for that reason alone. The granddaddy video code that gave you 30 lives.

8. Tecmo Bowl: Can hold up to any Madden Football Game. Maybe not in realism, but definitely in fun.

7. R.C. Pro Am: Incredibly simple and addictive. Even better than plating with real life radio control cars.

6: Mike Tyson’s Punch Out: Completely over the top, but just a blast to play. The game had so much charm. For all its arcade fun though, it did require a lot of timing in order to beat some of the boxers.

5: Super Mario Bros: What would the NES, or Nintendo for that matter, be without this game? Completely revolutionary and arguably the most important video game of all time.

4: Tetris: How many hours were lost playing this game. Just watching blocks from a top of the screen to the bottom. Who knew?

3: Battletoads: Although the game was down right impossible to finish. The idea of playing the toads that fought was just too funny and original.

2: The Legend of Zelda: What "best of" list would be complete without this one? There had never been a game prior to this one which had such incredible scope and length of gameplay. Truly an epic, even to this day.

1: Super Mario Bros 3: Simply a perfect game! No too difficult that its frustrating. No too easy that it becomes boring. It had great re playability. What more could you ask for?
